Account Information
RecipeHaul uses Google Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in, we receive and store:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture
This information is used solely to identify your account and personalize your experience.
Data Storage
Your recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists are stored securely in our cloud database. This allows you to access your data from any device and share with household members.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and secure database access.
Household Sharing
When you create or join a household, your recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists can be shared with other household members. Only members of your household can see shared content.
Recipe Import
When you import a recipe (via the website or browser extension), the URL you provide is sent to our server to fetch and parse the recipe content. We do not log or store the URLs you import.
Browser Extension
The RecipeHaul browser extension:
- Only activates when you click the extension icon or use the context menu
- Only accesses the URL of the current tab when you choose to save a recipe
- Does not track your browsing history
- Does not collect any personal information
- Does not run any background processes

Data Deletion

- Deleting individual recipes, meal plans, or grocery lists within the app
- Leaving your household (removes access to shared content)
- Contacting us to request complete account deletion at privacy@recipehaul.com
Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your account and all associated data within 30 days.
